Not all of these warnings are for the history itself but for the problems inherent to a horror game system created in the 1990s that disrespectfully misused Native American/First Nations terms for the setting/mechanics. Some such as Totem, Uktena, and Skindancers can be worked around in narration/dialogue by referring to them in other ways, Metis is a specific shunned breed of werewolf that is deeply rooted into the lore of the Werewolf: the Apocalypse setting. Other cultures also suffer from bad writing/development, but not to the extent Native American/First Nations does.)

Age 0-8: (1990-1998)

Jordana Martinez was born in Mexico under the half moon.

Her father went to the United States of America after Jordana turned one year old to earn money to bring over his family for a better life.

In 1993, Jordana's younger sister, Guadalupe, was born, fathered by a man little Jordana only knew as Sancho.

1994: Jordana, her mother, and sister, illegally crossed the border into the USA via Texas to meet up with her father in the state of West Virginia where physical labor employers didn't bother to check for papers.

Upon learning about her mother's infidelity, her father took to drinking and became physically and verbally abusive toward mother and Jordana (when she got in the way). 1998: Jordana's mother killed her father in self-defense.

Age 10: (2000)

Mother overdosed on heroin and died.

The sisters entered into foster care together. The system was very corrupt, and the family they were placed with took in children for the government checks, caring very little for the wellbeing of the children. They weren't allowed to speak Spanish where the foster parents could hear them, the other foster children bullied them for being Mexican.

Age 14: (2004)

Foster family decided to pimp out the sisters for extra cash, handing them over to men to do with as they wished as long as they didn't damage them too much. The sisters were placed in separate rooms at a motel in Morgantown, WV.

Jordana underwent her First Change into a werewolf when the men assaulted her, allowing her to brutally kill them in rage before they could rape her.

By the time Jordana regained control of her senses and located her sister, it had been too late to prevent her sister's assault. Jordana killed those men as well and took off with her sister.

The girls were found days later living on the streets by the local Garou and taken to the Sept (primarily consisting of Bone Gnawers/Children of Gaia/Get of Fenris tribes)

Lupe internalized that Jordana had been "Chosen" by Gaia and saved from her fate, while Lupe hadn't been good enough for the same. Lupe was placed with fellow kinfolk of the sept and taught about Garou and the role of kinfolk.

Jordana was an unruly cub, fighting any man that tried to touch either her or her sister. This aggression even against well-meaning, non-threatening men was dangerous as Jordana exhibited an uncanny fluidity between her forms without the need to push or exhaust herself to take the war form. (Metamorph merit).

The Sept's Den Father had no luck teaching her until a semi-nomadic Black Fury pack returned from a pilgrimage to Greece. The alpha, Alana Mother's Embrace, literally sat on Jordana in wolf form and had a long talk with her about how to handle and control rage toward men, something the Black Fury tribe was well known for. She took over teaching Jordana, becoming her mentor.

Age 16: (2006)

Jordana underwent her Rite of Passage to join the Black Furies tribe. It consisted of three tests.

Test of Judgement - Jordana was taken to observe teen boys bullying an ugly girl to see if she could figure out who was responsible/what was really going on. She learned the boys were picking on the girl to impress a pretty popular girl that didn't like the other one. Jordana learned that women not supporting other woman was a problem the Wyrm was sowing and to not overlook it.

Test of Vision - Jordana went on a spirit quest to learn balance in her anger toward men, to not assume they were all like the ones in her past, that men did serve a purpose and had a place in Gaia's plan.

Test of Fury - a very straightforward hunt of a fomorian (human possessed by a Wyrm spirit) to prove her combat capable.

Upon passing her Rite of Passage and being accepted by Pegasus into the tribe as a Cliath, Alana administered the Test of Mystery by having Jordana drink Elusian wine. She suffered wracking physical pain while experiencing omens of fire.

Jordana joined Alana's pack named the CC Dooms that followed Pegasus as their patron spirit.

Age 16-21: (2006-2011)

Jordana's pack focused on venturing into the old abandoned coal mines to clear them out, search for lost fetishes (magic items), and places of power within. Underground fires needed put out with the help of spirits, wyrm creatures killed and removed, so the Garou could attempt to reawaken the slumbering mountain spirits of the Appalachians through West Virginia, Maryland, and up into Pennsylvania.

Shortly after making Fostern rank, the pack ran into vampires in the mines. This turned into a turf war with the vampires over a year until the vampires unsuccessfully tried to ambush the werewolves. Jordana earned her deed name of Wyldfire by breaking the vampire line by literally lighting herself on fire with gasoline in her crinos warform then charging directly at the vampires. The vampires feared fire as much as the sun and tried to run in frenzied fear, making them easy for the rest of the Garou to destroy without the threat of silver bullets.

In 2011 the pack made the poor decision to attempt to clear out the last section of one of the mines the day before Alana's Fertility Day. They were at less than full strength and delved too deep down one tunnel and accidentally crossed into the Abyss - the umbral near realm of madness and loss. They were attacked by a pack of Black Spiral Dancers (corrupt Garou that followed the Wyrm instead of Gaia) and were defeated. Half the pack was killed, and Jordana took her first battlescar and was eventually knocked unconscious in the midst of her berserk frenzy. When she came to, still pinned to the ground by the metal that had pierced her torso, she was in the process of being raped by the BSDs in their crinos forms, as that was their favored treatment for Black Furies. Alana was barely alive, body severely broken, and also a victim of the BSDs violations. Somehow Jordana found the strength to either kill or drive off the remaining BSDs that hadn't died in the initial fight.

Alana knew she was fertile as the next day was her Fertility Day (ritualistic conception with mate), and Garou/Garou breeding was forbidden by law for metis children were born deformed except for the prophesized Perfect Metis that would herald the Apocalypse. Alana wished to die with her honor intact of having never birthed a metis child and asked Jordana to kill her before the BSDs returned to drag her off and make sure she carried the cursed child. Jordana complied and granted Alana's request. In her anguish and rage, Jordana tried to hunt down the escaping BSD but only ended up getting lost in the Abyss. While resting, Jordana took measures with a piece of sharp metal, the Gift to resist pain, and her own regeneration to ensure she wouldn't become pregnant from these BSDs, serenaded by the wail coming from the center of the Abyss. Jordana eventually found her way out and back to the sept, but would never be able to describe or find the way back to collect the bodies of her fallen packmates.

Age 21-23: (2011-2013)

Grief stricken by loss of her pack and mentor, Jordana made the terrible decision to take Alana's mate, Jackson, as her own and give him the child he had been robbed of by the BSDs, despite being a lesbian with little desire for children of her own. This was supported in large by Garou society, seeing it as honorable to reproduce and continue Garou bloodlines, and homosexuality was frowned upon. They had a baby boy named Miguel.

Jordana joined the Road Wolves pack that followed Rattlesnake as their patron spirit.

Baby Miguel died at 3 months due to negligence when Jordana's sister, Lupe, accidentally left Miguel's blanket in the crib with him when she put him down for a nap. Jordana had been at a sept meeting and Jackson at work.

Age 23: (2013)

The death of her son on top of everything Jordana suffered in the Abyss caused Jordana to rapidly descend into Harano, a special form of hopelessness and despair that is like a supernatural depression unique to Garou when they start questioning why they're fighting for Gaia when it seems like nothing they do matters.

Jordana was ordered by the Outer Calyx, the ruling council of her tribe, to go to the tribal ancestral homeland to be with her ancestors and tribal sisters to recover. She spent over half a year in the homelands, being aided and guided out of the depths of Harano. She made many lasting connections inside her tribe and joined the Sisterhood camp to help keep those connections and stay in contact with others, so they could keep a tab on her. Unfortunately, once a Garou falls into Harano, it never completely loses its grip on them. Jordana would experience periods of lesser Harano for the rest of her life. (Harano Prone flaw).

Returned to find her mate had left, Jordana made sure the spirits knew she agreed with his decision, freeing him from his duty to her. Jordana moved to the Pittsburgh sept in Pennsylvania, which was part of the territory the Road Wolves pack patrolled.

Age 24: (2014)

Jordana joined the Bikers Against Child Abuse Motorcycle Club.

Age 25-27: (2015-2017)

Jordana made Adren rank by brokering/negotiating a deal between a Glass Walker Theurge and the spirit Stourbridge Lion to create a fetish out of a motorcycle peacefully despite the request offending the spirit.

Met Siobhan Windwhisperer, Lotus, and Verb Preposition Noun (VPN). She decided to form a pack with them named the Tears of Karkadann with Black Unicorn as their patron spirit. Jordana fell in love with Siobhan, but never let her know as she was the pack alpha (and also very straight).

Jordana won the fetish motorcycle from its owner in a challenge.

The new pack took up fetish creation to strengthen the Garou Nation in their war against the Wyrm and protected the defenseless, raising their renown significantly.

When Jordana challenged for Anthro rank, she was given the task of assessing a corrupted and once-possessed Glass Walker Ahroun named Barbara to see if it was possible to save her. Drawing on her own experience coming back from the impossible that had been Harano, Jordana spent time with Barbara, weathered some frenzies and fights, including taking a battle scar to the side of her head, but eventually she was able to pierce through the Wyrm's influence to find the woman underneath through patience and perseverance. She performed the rite Soothe the Scars in conjunction with the Flames of Hestia gift to cleanse the corruption from Barbara. The Tears took Barbara into the pack.

Jordana's sister had started dating another kinfolk while Jordana had been recovering in the Homelands, and over the years he fed Lupe's feelings of inferiority regarding Jordana being Garou and her resentment that she had been 'chosen' and Lupe not. The boyfriend told Lupe there was a way to become Garou through acquiring several Garou pelts and completing a ritual.

In 2017, a pack of these abhorrent kinfolk known as 'skindancers' were discovered in the city and, as several had completed the ritual, a brutal fight occurred. Thinking Lupe had been manipulated by this boyfriend, Jordana went to protect her sister in the middle of the fight. This ended up with Lupe slitting Jordana's throat with a silver skinning knife, leaving a battle scar in its wake when her rage refused to let her die.

Despite evidence otherwise, Jordana insisted Lupe had been manipulated and refused to let the sept kill her. Backed by her pack, fearing Jordana would fall back into harano, they took Lupe from the sept and chose to leave Pittsburgh. They headed to Colorado to assist VPNs mother and other Garou reclaim a place of power in Denver from a cabal of human mages.

Age 27-31: (2017-2020)

The Tears helped establish the Sept of the Relentless Beat at Red Rocks in Colorado. They furthered their fetish making and Jordana added procuring unique items and brokering information to her repertoire.

Jordana transferred her B.A.C.A. membership from Southwest Pennsylvania chapter to the Denver chapter. She also established a women's shelter for domestic abuse survivors. Through altered records, she became a Registered Psychotherapist (unlicensed) to allow her to run group meetings and one-on-one talk sessions using her rites and personal training. Jordana used the information she learned from the women that came to the shelter for help to enact vengeance, hunting down the abusive men and making them disappear. She learned of potentially tainted men's health medication that seemed to cause men to become more violent. Ginny Grins-at-Fear joined the pack after returning from Temple Canyon.

Age 31: (2020)

The caern the sept protected increased in power, causing the powerful spirit of Stegosaurus to awaken from eons of slumber. This alerted the Black Spiral Dancers to the location of the caern.

BSDs attacked the caern and caused several casualties, including VPN, before the assault was repelled. The sept put out a call to the Garou Nation for young cliath to take in and join the sept. Jordana and her pack provided various fetishes in exchange for the cliath. The new cliath formed the Queer Eye pack, favored by Coyote, and the sept alpha encouraged Jordana to become Den Mother. Given they had no cubs and the new Garou were cliath, she resisted this effort but helped the new wolves acclimate and find their niche in the sept.

Age 31-32: (2020-2021)

The Tears and Queer Eye packs worked together on the Rite of the Opened Sky in an attempt to cleanse a toxic waste dump. The rite was interrupted when the protectors failed to stop both enemy snipers. Siobhan, who was leading the rite, was shot by a silver sniper bullet and almost died. This nearly sent Jordana back into harano.

Helped guide Ren Rages-Against-the-Odds to being a better alpha for her pack, teaching her that alphas needed to be able to make the hard decisions. Jordana admitted that she wasn't alpha material because she a little too soft-hearted about those she cared for, which was why Siobhan lead the Tears.

Jordana asked Queer Eye pack to take on the Rocky Mountain Mens Health mission, to send someone in posing as an older man in need of erectile dysfunction medication through the use of a fetish to obtain a prescription of the medication believed to be causing increased aggression in men. The mission was successful but the Queer Eye pack ended up lost in the Acadia Gateway umbral fae realm for an extended time after an intrapack spat over the mission. The Tears were able to confirm the meds were tainted by the Wyrm and tracked them to the Magadon Pharmaceuticals East Distribution Center. They destroyed the warehouse under the guise of an extremist anti-vax group.

Stegosaurus was unable to adjust to being awake during a time when it shouldn't have been and became unstable. The spirit caused an earthquake and a fissure opened up in the umbra through the middle of the caern. Jordana worked in tandem with an old Red Talon philodox to keep Stegosaurus subdued until the Queer Eye pack returned from the Arcadia Gateway.

The Tears escorted Stegosaurus to the umbral realm of Pangaea where dinosaurs still roamed so the spirit could continue its awakened existence in peace. Not all the dinosaurs were friendly and the pack had to defend themselves.

The Tears returned to Pittsburgh so Barbara could challenge to reclaim the Adren rank that had been stripped from her when she had become tainted by the Wyrm. Recovering her lost honor, she was given the new deed name of Hostile Takeover and made Jordana very proud of her dedication.

Upon returning to Relentless Beat, Jordana finally agreed to become Den Mother, taking on the instruction of the two new cubs to the sept.

Age 33: (2022)

Former Queer Eye packmate Ji-Hyun returned to the sept disgraced by the Stargazer tribe she belonged to for no longer believing in the tribe's edicts. She sought guidance from Jordana about what to do going forward, so Jordana offered her the chance to join the Black Furies tribe. Upon agreeing, Jordana took Ji-Hyun (and her pack) to the Atrocity umbral realm to experience the Salem Witch Trials so she could fully understand why the Black Furies tribe was the way it was. After successfully impressing Pegasus with Ji-Hyun's understanding and dedication, Jordana performed the Rite of Acceptance and welcomed Ji-Hyun to the Black Furies tribe and gave her the new deed name of Knows Her Pain. She gifted Ji-Hyun a spatha to use with honor.

The Weaver spirit Gentrification invaded Denver with an army of spirits, attempting to claim the city as its own, sending wave after wave of Futureons to overrun the city. Tears of Karkadann were ordered into a support role in defense of the caern and provided fetishes and remote intel until other packs dismantled the gates to the CyberRealm, thanks to some quick thinking regarding zoning permits by Barbara. They assisted in the clean up after the attack was repelled.

Age 34: (2023)

Jordana's sister, Lupe, got pulled into a vampire cult and made a deal to be embraced and given power in exchange for luring a werewolf to a location to be captured. While Jordana was searching for Lupe, she received an SOS message from her sister. Jordana and Lotus attived at the location and were able to fight off the vampires as they had thought Jordana would be alone, not accompanied by an Ahroun. Having learned that Lupe went willingly, Jordana could no longer pretend that her sister was just a victim and allowed Lotus to kill her sister, as she was unable to do it. Blaming herself for Lupe's decisions, Jordana felt the pull of harano again.

Siobhan received visions from Gaia about the Gardens of the First Age, a realm thought to be lost in the umbra. The pack sought permission from the sept to follow the vision and seek the lost realm out for the Garou Nation.

While searching for the realm, the pack got scattered by an umbral storm but managed to find each other through the help of Black Unicorn.

The pack traveled to the Aetherial Realm to seek out Helios for aid in finding the Gardens and were never seen again, presumed lost to the umbra.
